Dr.Rina Shahriyani Shahrullah, the Head of Postgraduate Study of Law of Universitas Internasional Batam (UIB) visited Robert Gordon University (RGU) in Aberdeen, Scotland. The purpose of the visit was to initiate an academic collaboration between Universitas Internasional Batam and Robert Gordon University. She met the Head of Law School, Professor Ken Mackinnon and other faculty members. UIB proposed the Exchange Students Program to RGU in addition to the 2 plus 2 for undergraduate students and 1 plus 1 for postgraduate students. RGU’s professional courses offer close industry links which are suitable for UIB students. Based on the discussion, both parties are welcomed to collaborative research between professors or the two universities. In relation to research, RGU focuses on delivering innovative research solutions for business and industry providing economic, societal, environmental and cultural benefits which includes the fields of allied health, computer science, engineering, architecture, accounting & finance, business and management, law, library & information management and art & design. It is expected that the two universities can sign a Memorandum of Understanding regarding an academic collaboratation in 2019.
