Hundreds of UIB graduates took TOEIC exam on Sunday, September 9th 2018 at B Building Halls of UIB. The test participants are prospective graduates in 2018 that have completed all academic activities and are ready to graduate on December 6th 2018. The enthusiasm of prospective graduates can be appraised by the number of participants partaking in this activity, namely 477 test takers from the undergraduate and graduate programs.
TOEIC Wisudawan is an annual event which aims to measure the results of English learning while studying at UIB. Additionally, through the TOEIC test, UIB graduates also have a certification of English language proficiency consequently they are able to compete globally.
TOEIC Wisudawan is UIB collaboration with the International Test Centre (ITC) which is holder of official TOEIC test license. Hasanudin, ITC development staff, stated that currently many universities and companies have recognized the TOEIC certification as a benchmark for English language proficiency both at nationally and internationally. Therefore, the TOEIC Wisudawan conducted by UIB every year has been on the right track because it provides graduates with language certification which is often one of the requirements in work acceptance.
