On Tuesday September 3rd 2019, 25 students and 3 lecturers from Management and Science University, Malaysia visited Universitas Internasional Batam for International Joint Activity: “Experiencing Indonesia”.
On this event The Project Manager of IRO, Mr. Tony Wibowo, greeted the participants with an opening speech, followed by the representative of MSU, Ms Sangita Jeyaram. Then, a souvenir exchange was held.
After the souvenir exchange, the MSU lecturers were taken to the research lounge. There, they with other UIB lecturers held a sharing session about teaching method entitled, “Teaching Method in 21st Century.” The sharing session lasted till 5 pm.
The students remained at the auditorium and were given an introduction of UIB and Batam. Not only that, they were also introduced to some of Indonesian culture. Then the participants were divided into groups and were given a project, which was to make a video, with the theme of being a part of internationally diverse academic community, in about 45 minutes. After the 45 minutes were up, all group gathered back to the auditorium and the group with the best video was given a prize.
