WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 27, 2019 – Staff of Bureau of Planning and International Cooperation visited Universitas Internasional Batam for monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of Darmasiswa Scholarship. Universitas Internasional Batam is one of the hosts for the implementation of Darmasiswa Scholarship and now has two Darmasiswa students from Slovakia and Madagascar.
The monitoring and evaluation were held in UIB Grant Center and attended by Vice Rector III; Dr. Hepy Hefri Ariyanto, Darmasiswa students, the organizers of Darmasiswa in UIB (International Relation Office and UIB Centre of Language and Culture), and BIPA Instructors in UIB. Besides, the meeting was also attended by students of Kanagawa Institute of Technology (KaIT), Japan. Students of KaIT gave testimony on Darmasiswa students since Darmasiswa students are teaching them Bahasa during their program at UIB. “Their teaching is already good. They really pay attention on how we pronounce the words in Bahasa Indonesia,” said Kazuke, one of KaIT students.
The monitoring and evaluation were supposed to be attended by the Chief of International Facilitation Officer; however; he was not able to come. The meeting with him was changed to the following day (Thursday, February 28, 2019).
The monitoring and evaluation were running well. Sanda Miangaly, Darmasiswa student from Madagasar, telling her satisfaction during her study at UIB. “I am very happy studying here (UIB),” said Sanda. It was also agreed by Alena Kaliska, Darmasiswa student from Slovakia.
