PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
The courses are designed to build the participants confidence. They are practical and relevant to the participants’ needs. The programs’ philosophy is that language is learned to the maximum if it is done in meaningful study and context.

PROGRAM GOAL:
The primary goal of the courses is to teach communicative competence. They will dwell in building the participants’ ability to communicate in English according to their situation, purpose, and roles. The facilitator will see to it that the participants’ needs in English are met. He will dwell on the unique context of the participants and build their four basic skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing which are foundations of acquiring a second language. This will be reinforced by scheduled practices and application.

PROGRAM STRATEGIES AND METHODS:
The method of teaching will basically be lecture and coaching. The facilitator will be a teacher in the different modules and function as a coach in the practice sessions. The modules are designed to meet the practical aspects of the participants’ English needs. The facilitator will use actual situations and materials from the participants’ specific work context to make the learning process meaningful and relevant.
