Bachelor of Computer Science (Data Intelligence)
The Data Intelligence Program is a Concentration of the Advanced Information Systems Program centred on the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in data science, designed to equip students with advanced skills in leveraging data-driven insights through AI technologies. This interdisciplinary curriculum combines core principles of data science, including statistics, data management, and computational methods, with specialized AI topics such as machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and predictive analytics.
Students in this program gain hands-on experience with AI-powered tools, big data platforms, and algorithms to analyse, interpret, and derive actionable intelligence from complex data sets. Emphasis is placed on developing strong foundational skills in coding and deploying models, understanding the ethical and societal implications of AI, and applying data intelligence to real-world domains such as healthcare, finance, business, and the social sciences.
Graduates are well prepared for careers as data scientists, AI specialists, machine learning engineers, and data strategists, capable of driving innovation and making impactful decisions in data-driven industries.
