Academic Introduction of the Universitas Internasional Batam Master’s Program for the Odd Semester of Academic Year 2024/2025

The Master Program of Universitas Internasional Batam held an Academic Introduction for the Odd Semester Master’s Program for the 2024/2025 Academic Year with the intention to welcome new students on Saturday, September 14, 2024. The implementation of the activity started at 09.00 to 16.00 WIB which was attended by 19 new students of the Master of Law Program and 34 Master of Management students. The activity was held offline in the Hall Room of Building B, 1st Floor, UIB Campus.

The activity was guided by Miftahul Jannah S.T., M.M. as the MC who is also an Alumni of the Master of Management Program. The opening began with remarks by the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Mr. Dr. Lu Sudirman, S.H., M.M., M.Hum. and continued by the Dean of the Faculty of Business and Management, namely Mrs. Ria Karina, S.E., M.M. where the two Deans participated in the symbolic embedding of their alma mater in new students.

After the almamater embedding session, the activity continued with Alumni Sharing which was filled by Rudolf Haiti, S.H., M.H. and Justitia Ferryanto, S.H., M.H. as representatives of the Master of Law Study Program and Herlina Dwi Kurnia, S.E., M.M. and Brahmantya Chriswardana as representatives of the Master of Management Study Program sharing their experiences while studying at Universitas Internasional Batam. The gift of souvenirs was carried out by the Head of the Master of Law Study Program, Dr. Hari Sutra Disemadi, S.H., M.H. and the Secretary of the Master of Management Study Program, namely Edy Yulianto Putra, S.E., M.M.

An explanation of the lecture system, curriculum, concentration and lecture rules delivered by the Head of the Master of Law Study Program, Dr. Hari Sutra Disemadi, S.H., M.H. to Master of Law Students. It is similar to the presentation by the Secretary of the Master of Management Study Program, Edy Yulianto Putra, S.E., M.M. to Master of Management Students. “Hopefully today’s presentation can help all of you in completing your study period on this campus,” said Mr. Edy Yulianto Putra, S.E., M.M. Then the presentation on English certification for S2 Program students by the Head of the UCLC Bureau Mr. Hendra Nugraha, S.S., M.Hum.

After the break, the activity continued with the presentation on the use of lecture facilities such as MS Teams and E-learning by Mrs. Li Cen, S.Kom. as IT staff, and the introduction of the Student MyPortal system by the Head of BAAK, Mrs. Mareta Murti, S.Ak. in Lab Rooms A214 and A215. Students were directed to the library for an introduction to the Library by the Library Technical Service Coordinator, Mr. Rio Gusma Hendra, S.I.P.

Students were directed back to the Hall of Building B for the delivery of Student Activity by Mrs. Evalina Elda Br. Siagian, S.I.Kom. as the Head of the BPM Bureau, and the delivery of certification and seminar by Mrs. Tika Febriani, S.Pd. The activity ended with a presentation related to Discount Cards by Mr. Abdurrakhman Alhakim, S.H., M.H. and a group photo session guided by the MC. Through the Academic Introduction of the Universitas Internasional Batam Master’s Program for the Odd Semester of the 2024/2025 Academic Year, it is hoped that academic information will be conveyed to new students so that they can take part in lectures as expected.
