Bachelor of Computers (Entertainment Computing)
The Entertainment Computing program is a concentration of the Information Systems program dedicated to the design and development of video games, combining technical skills with creativity to prepare students for careers in the game and digital entertainment industry. The program provides a foundation in game design, computer graphics, interactive storytelling, and immersive technologies, equipping students with the skills to create engaging and visually captivating gaming experiences.
The curriculum includes core courses in game programming, 3D modelling, animation, artificial intelligence in games, and user experience (UX) design. Students learn industry-standard tools and platforms, such as Unity and Unreal Engine, as well as techniques for designing compelling narratives, dynamic game mechanics, and realistic environments.
Through collaborative projects and internships, students gain hands-on experience in developing fully functional games and prototypes. Graduates are prepared to enter roles as game developers, level designers, game artists, and technical artists, with the skills to innovate and contribute to the ever-expanding field of digital entertainment.
