Dean's Remarks

With gratitude and joy, I warmly welcome all of you to the official website of the Faculty of Business and Management (FBM). We designed this site as the primary information gateway for all academics, prospective students, parents/guardians, partners, alumni, and the wider community who wish to learn more about FBM.
Established in 2000, FBM at Universitas Internasional Batam (UIB) has experienced rapid and commendable development. Currently, we oversee four accredited study programs: Master of Management, Bachelor of Management, Bachelor of Accounting, and Bachelor of Tourism. We are very proud that the Bachelor of Management program achieved an “Unggul” (Excellent) accreditation in 2023 by the Lembaga Akreditasi Mandiri Ekonomi Manajemen Bisnis dan Akuntansi (LAMEMBA). This was followed by the Bachelor of Accounting program, which also received a “Baik Sekali” (Very Good) accreditation. Meanwhile, the Master of Management and Bachelor of Tourism programs are currently accredited “B”.
FBM’s vision is to become an internationally recognized faculty in producing competitive graduates and developing dynamic science and technology (IPTEK) in the fields of economics and business. We consistently implement the “Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi” (three pillars of higher education) with global standards. This is manifested through various international collaborations in education, research, and community engagement. The numerous national and international awards we have received not only serve as tangible proof of this quality but also motivate our entire academic community to continuously innovate and produce globally competitive graduates.
Our commitment to international quality education is further demonstrated by our ISO 21001:2018 certification for educational organization management systems and ISO 9001:2015 for quality management systems. Furthermore, FBM is actively pursuing international accreditation as part of our dedication to excellence.
