(The 5th CoNeScINTech 2025 Opening)
Batam, June 18th 2025 – On Wednesday, June 18th, 2025, Universitas Internasional Batam (UIB) Institute of Research and Community Service was successfully held an annual International Conference on Business, Social Sciences, and Technology, The 5th CoNeScINTech 2025 themed “Digital Transformation for Sustainable Development: Challenges and Innovations in Social, Economic and Technological Fields”.
This event was held online through Zoom Meetings and YouTube Live Streaming, starting from 09.00 to 15.30 UTC+7, and was attended by local and international participants. This year’s conference focuses on research where researchers are able to sharing their knowledge and motivation in the application of sustainable research activities. As the participants come from different backgrounds, through this conference they are able to build connections and promotes new innovations in business, social sciences, and technology.
The event began with an opening greeting from the Master Ceremony, Tasya Meylarisman (student from the English Language Education Department) following an opening speech by UIB Rector, Dr. Iskandar Itan. “We thank and appreciate to all parties who have contribute and support this event, we hope that this conference can contribute to the grow of the advance education and improve the welfare of society.” said Dr. Iskandar Itan on his speech.

The next session was a plenary session moderated by Dr. Pandu Prasodjo (UIB). This conference’s speakers involved practitioners from various fields in business, social sciences, and technology. The speakers are Ts. Dr. Norharyati Harum (Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka), Dr. Mohd Zulfabli Bin Hasan (Universiti Teknologi Malaysia), Dr. Maria Joy Casano Iglesia (Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges), Vivek Gilani (Founder and Director of cBalance), and Heru Wijayanto Aripradono, S.Kom., M.M. M.MT. (UIB). The speakers delivered the presentation very well related to the main topic of today’s conference theme, which is digital transformation, and continued with a Q&A session that lightened up the atmosphere during the conference.w
Papers were submitted from two countries, Indonesia and Malaysia, with a total of 47 papers selected. These papers were presented in 11 rooms, where each room had 3-6 presenters, and after that, the papers will be published in the UIB Proceedings on CoNeScINTech (Conference on Business, Social Sciences and Technology). All sessions were chaired by chairs from different departments of UIB in accordance with their expertise. After the breakout session ended, the selected papers and presenters were announced as the best papers and presenters. Lastly, this event was closed with documentation through Zoom Meetings.

The conference wrapped up today as the organiser, UIB Institute of Research and Community Service, extended a heartfelt thanks to all of our keynote speakers, participants, and other parties for making this event a success. The event, which fostered rich discussions and insightful exchanges, has left attendees with new perspectives and ideas for future collaboration. The organiser hoped that the shared knowledge would inspire continued growth and innovation. The closing marks the end of a successful gathering, with plans already underway for future events.
