To help students fast-track their degrees and gain international experience, Universitas Internasional Batam (UIB) hosted an Info Session on the 3+2 Fast Track Program in collaboration with Ming Chi University of Technology (MCUT), Taiwan, on February 14, 2025. The session, which ran from 18:00 to 20:00 WIB, attracted over 300 students eager to learn about this exclusive academic opportunity.
Ms. Yannesse, a representative from MCUT, introduced the university, its cutting-edge facilities, and the advantages of the 3+2 Fast Track Program, which allows students to complete their bachelor’s and master’s degrees in just five years. The event also featured Teddy Ong, a UIB student currently studying at MCUT, who shared firsthand experiences about campus life, coursework, and the study environment in Taiwan.
“The 3+2 Fast Track Program is a fantastic opportunity for students to gain international exposure while accelerating their academic journey. At MCUT, we ensure that students receive world-class education, practical industry insights, and a supportive learning environment,” said Ms. Yannesse, MCUT representative.
Moderated by Ms. Theodesia Lady Pratiwi, Head of UIB’s International Relations Office (IRO), the session was highly interactive, with students actively engaging in discussions and asking insightful questions about the admissions process, living in Taiwan, and career opportunities after graduation.
Teddy Ong also shared his personal experience, stating, “Studying at MCUT has been an incredible journey. The curriculum is well-structured, the professors are supportive, and the university offers amazing facilities. If you’re looking for an international experience that pushes you beyond your comfort zone, this program is worth considering.”
