Batam, March 7, 2025 – Universitas Internasional Batam (UIB) held an online meeting with Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges (CSPC), Philippines, to explore potential academic collaborations, including student exchange programs, joint research, and other academic initiatives. This meeting served as an important step in expanding UIB’s international partnerships and providing students with more opportunities for global experiences.
The discussion was attended by representatives from both institutions, including Dr. Nino Obrero from CSPC and UIB’s academic and administrative staff. The connection between UIB and CSPC was made possible through UIB lecturer, Dessy Aliandrina, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., whose professional relationship with CSPC played a key role in initiating this collaboration.
During the meeting, both parties discussed various opportunities to strengthen academic ties. UIB highlighted its experience in international programs, such as language and cultural camps, credit transfer programs, and the 2+2 and 3+2 academic collaborations. CSPC expressed its interest in establishing long-term cooperation, particularly in student mobility and research partnerships.
“We see great potential in this collaboration, as both institutions share a strong commitment to academic excellence and global engagement,” said Dr. Nino Obrero, a representative from CSPC. “We look forward to exploring concrete steps to turn these discussions into impactful programs for our students and faculty.”
This discussion marks the beginning of what is hoped to be a fruitful collaboration. Both institutions agreed to maintain communication and explore further steps to implement these academic initiatives.
