On Thursday, June 5, 2025, Universitas Internasional Batam (UIB), through its International Relations Office (IRO), warmly welcomed internship students from Université Savoie Mont Blanc, France. The event took place from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Grand Center, Building A, UIB. This activity reflects UIB’s ongoing commitment to fostering international collaboration and providing enriching academic experiences through programs such as internships, cultural exchanges, and language courses.
The students welcomed were Amine Siraoui, Haris Kuluglija, Juliette Therese Lompret-Bryck, and Noam Soheil Baabaa. They will participate in an internship and language training program at UIB. The welcoming event was attended by Ms. Theodesia Lady Pratiwi, S.Pd., M.Hum, Head of the International Relations Office, and Dr. Yusra Aulia Sari, S.T., M.URP., Ph.D, Head of the Civil Engineering Study Program.
During the event, Ms. Theodesia introduced the students to UIB by explaining the university’s academic environment, key regulations, campus facilities, and cultural insights about living in Batam. She also provided guidance on dormitory rules to help students adjust to their new surroundings. Additionally, the students were introduced to their assigned buddies, local UIB students who will support and assist them throughout their internship and stay in Batam.
Following this, Dr. Yusra Aulia Sari provided detailed information about the internship program, outlining the tasks, projects, and learning objectives the students are expected to achieve during their stay.
The event proceeded smoothly and was well received by the students, who gained valuable information to start their academic and cultural journey at UIB with confidence and enthusiasm.
