On September 2, 2024, Batam International University welcomed the new cohort of RI Darmasiswa program students for the 2024/2025 academic year. One of the students, Krisztina Safranyik, enthusiastically participated in a series of welcoming activities. The event began with an opening speech by Ms. Theodesia Lady Pratiwi, the Head of the International Relations Office at UIB. Following the opening, Ms. Pratiwi led a comprehensive presentation designed to help Krisztina acclimate to her new environment. This included an overview of Batam Island, details about campus activities, and the rules governing both the campus and the dormitory.
Subsequently, the Head of the English Language Center provided additional information on BIPA (Indonesian for Foreign Speakers) courses, including the learning schedule and an overview of the materials to be covered.
The welcome activities concluded with the presentation of souvenirs, including UIB T-shirts and the UIB campus alma mater. A campus tour was also conducted to help Krisztina become more familiar with her new surroundings and navigate the campus with ease.
