On Thursday, April 24, 2025, Universitas Internasional Batam (UIB) welcomed a courtesy visit from Tunghai University, Taiwan, as part of its ongoing efforts to expand international academic partnerships. The meeting took place at the Grant Center (GC) from 10.00 AM to 12.00 PM, providing both institutions with an opportunity to explore future collaborations.
The delegation from Tunghai University consisted of Ms. Yifang Liu and Ms. Fenny Setiawan, representing the Tunghai Education Center in Indonesia. They were warmly received by Mr. Hepy Hefri Ariyanto, Vice Rector III of UIB, along with Ms. Theodesia Lady Pratiwi, Head of the International Relations Office, and Laoshi Nicky, Head of UIB’s Mandarin Center. Also present at the event were the heads of all study programs at UIB, demonstrating the university’s inclusive and multidisciplinary approach to internationalization.
The discussion covered a wide range of collaborative possibilities, including student exchange, joint research, academic cooperation, and cultural initiatives. The atmosphere remained cordial and constructive throughout, with both parties expressing strong interest in developing meaningful and sustainable partnerships.
The visit concluded with a souvenir exchange, symbolizing goodwill and mutual respect between the two institutions. It also marked the beginning of what is hoped to be a long-term and fruitful collaboration.
Through this engagement, UIB reaffirms its commitment to building global connections that enhance learning opportunities, support faculty development, and contribute to the broader academic community.
