These programs are designed to enhance students’ academic and professional experiences while preparing them to thrive in an increasingly interconnected and competitive global landscape.
The event was attended by the Heads of Study Programs from each department whose students are participating in the outbound programs. It was led by Theodesia Lady Pratiwi, S.Pd., M.Hum., Head of UIB’s International Relations Office (IRO), who delivered motivational messages, practical tips, and preparation guidance for students prior to their departure. During the ceremony, the students were also presented with souvenirs and customized banners as tokens of appreciation and mementos for their participation.
“This outbound program is not just about studying or working abroad; it’s about shaping globally minded individuals who are ready to face the challenges of a connected world,” said Theodesia Lady Pratiwi, S.Pd., M.Hum. “We are proud of our students’ achievements and confident that they will bring honor to UIB and Indonesia on the international stage.”
The ceremony was filled with warmth and enthusiasm, as the students expressed their excitement and aspirations before embarking on this new chapter. They shared their eagerness to expand their horizons, experience new learning environments, and build cross-cultural friendships that will last a lifetime. The event highlighted UIB’s strong commitment to producing graduates who are globally competitive and well-prepared to contribute meaningfully to both local and international communities.
UIB remains committed to becoming a globally oriented institution by providing students with opportunities to explore the world and experience diverse learning environments. Through its outbound programs, UIB ensures that students gain not only academic knowledge but also cross-cultural experiences, global perspectives, and valuable soft skills essential in today’s competitive global era.
Beyond individual development, this initiative reflects UIB’s active role in strengthening its international network with partner universities worldwide. These partnerships open doors to broader collaborations, including joint research projects, academic mobility programs, and the exchange of knowledge across institutions.
Through this send-off ceremony, UIB hopes its students will serve as ambassadors of the university, carrying its values, fostering international friendships, and seizing opportunities to grow academically, personally, and professionally. It is expected that their experiences will contribute positively not only to their individual growth but also to the university’s reputation and Indonesia’s presence in the global academic community.
