Two outstanding students from the Master of Management Program at Universitas Internasional Batam (UIB), Vionny Lau and Thabrani, S.IP., proudly represented the university at the International Conference on Research and Innovation in Information Systems (ICRIIS 2025) hosted by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) on 18 September 2025. The prestigious conference carried the theme “Smart Management for Sustainable Business” and gathered scholars, researchers, and practitioners from across the globe.

Vionny Lau and Thabrani successfully presented their research papers after passing a rigorous selection process, marking an important milestone in their academic journey. Their presentations not only showcased innovative perspectives on management and digital transformation but also reflected the strong research culture nurtured within the Master of Management Program at UIB.
The students’ participation was fully supported by their academic supervisors, Dr. Ratih Anggraini, S.Pd., M.M. and Dr. Edy Yulianto Putra, S.E., M.M., who guided them throughout the research and preparation process. Both students actively engaged in conference discussions, responded to questions from international peers, and established connections with researchers from other universities and institutions worldwide.
Their involvement in ICRIIS 2025 highlights the commitment of UIB to empower its students with global exposure, academic confidence, and the ability to contribute to scholarly conversations at the international level. It also provides them with opportunities to expand their networks, gain insights from international experts, and explore potential research collaborations in the future.

“Presenting my research at ICRIIS 2025 was a remarkable experience. It challenged me to communicate my ideas clearly to an international audience and strengthened my confidence as a young researcher,” expressed Vionny Lau. Meanwhile, Thabrani, S.IP. reflected, “This conference was more than just an academic platform—it was a gateway to building collaborations with scholars from around the world. It motivates me to continue improving my research for greater global impact.”
Through the active participation of Vionny Lau and Thabrani, the Master of Management Program at Universitas Internasional Batam reaffirms its dedication to producing graduates who are academically excellent, globally competitive, and ready to contribute to sustainable business practices.
