The 6th CoNeScINTech 2026 Strengthens Global Research Collaboration for Sustainable and Inclusive Development

Batam, July 23rd 2026 – On Wednesday, July 22nd, 2026, Universitas Internasional Batam (UIB) Institute of Research and Community Service (Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat / LPPM) successfully held an annual international conference, The 6th CoNeScINTech 2026 (Conference on Business, Social Sciences, and Technology), themed “Strengthening Governance, Accountability, and Technological Advancement toward Sustainable and Inclusive Development”.

This event was held online through Zoom Meetings and YouTube Live Streaming, starting from 10.00 until 13.30 UTC+7, which was attended by local and international participants. This year’s conference focused on strengthening governance and accountability while advancing technology toward sustainable and inclusive development, giving researchers the opportunity to share their knowledge and findings. As the participants came from different backgrounds, this conference allowed them to build connections and promote new innovations in business, social sciences, and technology.

The event began with an opening greeting from the Master of Ceremony, Duke Paopathon Pardede, followed by an opening speech from Dr. Iskandar Itan, S.E., M.M., “We thank and appreciate all parties who have contributed to and supported this event; we hope that this conference can contribute to the advancement of education and improve the welfare of society,” said Iskandar on his speech.

The next session was a plenary session moderated by Honey Yahdillah, S.Gz., M.FT. This conference’s keynote speakers involved practitioners and academics from various fields in business, social sciences, and technology. The speakers were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nur Ezan Rahmat (Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia), Prof. Dr. Ir. Andri Irfan Rifai, S.T., M.T., MA., M.Eng.Tech., IPU, ASEAN Eng. (Universitas Internasional Batam, Indonesia), Prof. Dr. Dewa Gede Sudika Mangku, S.H., LL.M. (Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha, Indonesia), Prof. Rina Shahriyani Shahrullah, S.H., MCL., Ph.D. (Universitas Internasional Batam, Indonesia), Muhammad Bahrul Ulum, S.H., LL.M. (Ph.D Candidate, Queensland University of Technology), Assoc. Prof. Stivani Ayuning Suwarlan, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. (Universitas Internasional Batam, Indonesia).

The keynote speakers delivered insightful and engaging presentations that closely aligned with the main theme of this year’s conference. Each presentation provided valuable perspectives, innovative ideas, and practical insights that enriched participants’ understanding of the conference topics while encouraging interdisciplinary discussion and collaboration.

A total of 253 papers were accepted this year’s conference, reflecting the growing diversity of participants. Contributing institutions came from six countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, Hungary, Philippines, Australia, and Thailand. Universitas Internasional Batam remained the largest contributor, followed by international participation from institutions such as Universiti Teknologi MARA (Malaysia), Universiti Putra Malaysia, University of Pécs (Hungary), Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Mariano Marcos State University (Philippines), Monash University (Australia), and Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University under the Royal Patronage (Thailand).

Unlike previous years, authors were not required to deliver live presentations of their papers during this year’s conference. Instead, each author submitted either a poster and/or a video presentation alongside the full paper. These materials were reviewed and evaluated by the conference reviewer as part of the overall assessment process.

Following the keynote session, the event proceeded with the announcement of awards for the best submissions across several categories: Best Poster (3 winners), Most Critical Analysis (3 winners), Most Innovative Poster Design (3 winners), Best Video Presentation (3 winners), and Best Paper (3 winners), along with 10 papers as Honorable Mentions. Selected paper will also be published in the SINTA indexed.

The 6th CoNeScINTech 2026 wrapped up as the organizer, extended heartfelt thanks to all keynote speakers, participants, and other parties for making this event a success. The successful implementation of the conference reflects Universitas Internasional Batam’s continuous commitment to supporting research, innovation, and international academic collaboration. Through this conference, researchers, academics, practitioners, and students from various countries were able to exchange ideas, share research findings, and establish meaningful collaborations across disciplines. UIB hopes that this annual conference will continue to serve as a platform for generating impactful research and innovative solutions that contribute to sustainable development and create positive impacts for society at both the national and global levels.
