Social and Environmental awareness activities have been carried out by the Universitas Internasional Batam academic community in a programmatic manner namely the ” Sepora ” activity in 2018. These social activities have been carried out continuously until now. The 2018 Sepora was held in the Galang area ( Sembulang, Air Lingka, with participants of more than 800 students and accompanying lecturers as well as several volunteers from various countries. Reffered to as goro (gotong royong), these activities done to clean the environment were the main agenda of the event, as well as carrying out village infrastructure improvements in accordance with community needs. In 2023, together with our partner, the Universitas Manajemen & Sains Malaysia (MSU) we had carried out beach cleanups in the area.
