Universitas Internasional Batam (UIB) continues to expand its international collaboration network with partners from industry and the innovation ecosystem. This effort was carried out through an Online Meeting with Leave a Nest, held online on September 15, 2026.
Leave a Nest is a Japanese company that develops ecosystems in science, technology, research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and industry-academia collaboration. During the meeting, UIB and Leave a Nest discussed various opportunities that could support students, lecturers, researchers, and the development of international networks.
Online Meeting between UIB and Leave a Nest Explores Collaboration Opportunities
The meeting was attended by representatives from several study programs at UIB, including the Biology, Management, and Tourism Study Programs. The discussion explored potential collaborations connecting UIB’s academic environment with companies, industries, researchers, and the international innovation ecosystem.
Leave a Nest has the philosophy “Advancing Science and Technology for Global Happiness.” Through this approach, Leave a Nest connects universities and researchers with startups, industries, investors, and other partners within the innovation ecosystem.
During the meeting, both parties identified several opportunities relevant to the development of UIB students and researchers. These opportunities cover education, industry, entrepreneurship, research, and innovation.
International Internships and Industry Exposure
One of the opportunities discussed was international internships and industry exposure. This program could provide UIB students with opportunities to gain internship experience and become familiar with working environments at foreign companies.
